Prof. ZHU Dan holds a Ph.D. in Science and is a professor at the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, Nanjing Normal University. She previously served as an assistant professor at Nara Women's University (National University of Japan). She received her undergraduate degree in Physical Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Zhejiang University, her Master of Science degree in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from Nanjing University, and her Ph.D. in Science from Nara Women's University (National University of Japan). Professor Zhu has long been responsible for teaching fundamental courses in Chemistry and Materials Science to undergraduate and graduate students, including core courses such as Principles of Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Physics, and Solid State Physics.

Her research focuses on the characterization and performance evaluation of multi-level and multiphase structures of macromolecular materials. She utilizes various spectroscopic methods, including optical, electrical, and mechanical methods, to study the structural evolution of macromolecules and their aggregate states during processing and sample preparation. Through interdisciplinary research methods, she has achieved a series of innovative results in the design of conductive polymer composite materials, interface regulation of biomedical materials, and the self-assembly of natural macromolecules.
